About Me

  4 A’s guardian services incorporated was founded in January 2024 by Dawn Harper, CSW, MS, CGC. She is a certified licensed Social Work and has a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling. 

Dawn is a certified guardian, with 20+ years of experience in the human services field.  She has worked in various service industry fields including department of corrections, nursing homes, crisis management, counseling, managed care, insurance and in a hospital setting.  She has experience working with people with disabilities, elderly, children and mental health issues.  Most recently Dawn worked as a Social Worker/ case manager at a local hospital and worked with various counties with the guardianship process.  

Dawn believes that the guardianship process is difficult for all involved and sees the need for clients to be more involved in the process and decision making of their life goals.  She strives to combine her knowledge, experience and her ethics to assist each client to retain their dignity, respect, self -determination and autonomy to enhance their lives through individualized guidance, support and advocacy.  

Guardianship is the legal process by which a court determines that a person is incapable of making decisions about some or all areas of their life. Because of certain medical conditions, a developmental disability, dementia, mental illness or the inability to communicate, a person may not be able to take care of his/her own finances, make medical decisions or understand the need for assistance with the activities of daily living, The primary responsibility of a guardian is to make decisions about the ward's personal and/ or financial affairs (Guardian of Person and Guardian of Estate )
